beyond sunday

Every November we take up our largest offering of the year, and then turn around and give the whole thing away to mission work here in our city and around the world. We call this initiative Beyond Sunday. Since 2012 we have given away $276,883 to people and organizations who have devoted their days to bringing justice, peace, and hope to the world.

1 Timothy 6:17-18: "As for the rich in this present age, charge them not be haughty, nor to set their hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share."

People & Organizations

  • pfaff family mission, haiti

The Pfaff family lives and serves in Haiti to empower young people through education and mentorship initiatives, orphan care advocacy, and through their sustainable agriculture non-profit, Harvest107. The Pfaffs believe in sharing the Gospel through their actions first and foremost.

Adam & Hollie Macenczak work with the AFE organization in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. AFE works directly with the families who live and work in the garbage dump, providing education, healthcare, and spiritual support. Their vision is simple: "No more children living or working in the garbage dump."

  • fcs urban ministries, atlanta

Focused Community Strategies partners with under-served neighborhoods to provide innovative and holistic development that produces flourishing communities where God's peace is present.

  • bread campus ministry, emory university

Kyle & Alicia Marshall work on the campus of Emory University at the Bread Coffeehouse, a ministry to the students at Emory. Bread runs a coffee shop, hosts a Thursday night dinner with music and teaching, annual retreats, small groups, local service projects, and weekly bible studies.

  • crisis care and support

Atlanta Christian Church sets aside money in order to help meet short term immediate needs of those both in and outside our church family. This goes towards things like counseling costs, assistance with household needs, etc.
