Getting involved in the life of our church is deeply connected to where you live. Atlanta Christian Church is divided up into three geographical areas (known as "parishes"), and each one is overseen and cared for one of the three pastors on staff. Our two primary goals within the parish are community and care. We desire that everyone is known and cared for, and that each person has the opportunity to grow in their friendships, their faith, and in their service to those in need.
A LOOK INTO PARISH LIFE
Whether virtual or safely distanced out in someone's driveway or yard, these groups are designed for Bible study, discussion, and prayer. Most groups include a meal, too! Groups run from September through May, with registration opening in mid-August.
We offer a number of virtual book clubs during the year. Topics range from relationships, faith, and mission. Check the Groups page for upcoming book clubs.
Every 3 weeks a parish will gather virtually for updates, stories, information on upcoming localized projects, and to share prayer needs. Fellowship Halls happen on Sunday evenings at 6:00pm and we fully expect you to be eating, drinking, and (hopefully) showing off your pets to the rest of us!
Each parish has a prayer team leader that keeps track of all shared prayer needs, and who communicates with everyone on the prayer team.
Serve The City Projects
Each parish has a project leader who helps set up localized serving opportunities for each parish. These include projects like: clothing drives, homeless shelter work, meals, helping neighbors with household needs, and more.
Getting connected to a parish community is simple. Just fill out this form and let us know you're wanting to get involved in some way, and we'll be in touch within 1-2 days. If you have any questions about any of this information, email Derek Sweatman here.
